I make complex products look easy.

When a portfolio is growing faster than its team, AI strategy is stuck on slides, or an organically evolved platform has become a labyrinth—that's my specialty.

ABOUT

Twenty years transforming messy systems into trusted products and high-performing, confident teams.

Vicki Tomich

I take on high-stakes domains, learn them deeply, and build the architecture that makes them grow and scale. I zoom out to see where a product needs to be in several years, then prioritize ruthlessly to deliver value now.

I move quickly without leaving the hard parts for later. The result is not just a feature or prototype, but a complete solution—validated, governed, commercialized, and ready for the people who have to sell, support, and use it.

Right now I own a multi-product portfolio in pharma market access, including platform strategy, an API commercialization framework built from scratch, and an AI-era data strategy adopted at the executive level.

I've worked in nonprofits, startups, large health systems, and Fortune 500 companies. I've founded a real estate brokerage, run a glass art business, and hired and managed teams across very different environments. That range taught me how to build when resources are scarce, stakes are high, and there is nowhere to hide from the outcome.

HOW I THINK ABOUT AI

AI AS A TOOL

AI should augment our natural capabilities— not replace them. Used as a replacement for deep critical thinking, it produces worse decisions faster.

I use AI every day. It's a core tool in how I operate— it's a research partner, a synthesis engine, a pressure-tester, a prototyper, and a collaborator. I jokingly say it has gifted me a “third lobe” to enhance my thinking.

Here's the problem most organizations aren't confronting honestly

AI AS AN INTEGRATED CAPABILITY

With non-deterministic solutions, the hard problem is not only earning client trust, but keeping it—because once it's lost, it's hard to gain back.

I think about what happens after launch— monitoring, drift, and quality degradation—because most organizations don't, and that's where trust breaks. Every AI capability I ship follows the same principle: the reasoning must be auditable, the output explainable, and the human in the loop intentional.

HOW I LEAD

“Speed isn't just how quickly something gets built. It's how quickly teams come together to deliver the whole solution.”

Shared context creates speed.

I believe in establishing shared context, engaging early and often, and giving people the autonomy and tools they need to move forward.

I also play with fire.

Colorful borosilicate glass sculpture by RosiePopGlass

When I'm not building products and leading teams, I can be found in my art studio (aka my garage) making borosilicate glass art—vibrant, intricately patterned marbles, pendants, palm stones, and small sculptural works.

Every piece is made by hand at the torch. I run the business solo—from brand and product development to customer relationships, IP, and the AI-assisted operations platform I'm building behind it.

PERSPECTIVES

AI

AI should make us faster at the things that matter.

It should not make us skip the thinking or editorial discipline that makes the output worth using.

PRODUCT OPERATIONS

Speed is how quickly the whole solution is ready.

This includes validation, integration, governance, commercialization, enablement, support, and lifecycle—not just working code.

INFLUENCE

Being right and being effective are different skills.

The right decision still needs the right evidence, timing, language, and path through the organization.
